Indigenous Genocide by Shame: A Path to Indigenous Self Determination and Success

2018 | This research essay won best paper in the Policy Stream at the 2018 International Social Innovation Research Conference which is the leading interdisciplinary social innovation research conference in the world. I testified to the Senate of Canada in 2018 on this work, and it has been used in advocacy for Indigenous Post Secondary policy.

The Duty to Consult: Honouring The Treaties & Aboriginal Title

2020 | This research essay received academic credit in the BA Policy Studies course titled “Survey of Public and Private Law Principles” at Mount Royal University. It explores the history of Canada’s duty to consult with Indigenous nations when land infringement is occurring. It discusses First Nations and their ability to be what the law says they are are: sovereign nations under a treaty agreement with the Crown.
